Honouring yourself, on your birthday is the best present you can give.

It's hard to put into words the way a boudoir shoot with Kayla makes you feel. It's so much more than just a photo shoot. I've had a plan for the last few years to do a shoot with her for my 40th birthday, it was a goal in my mind and I had plans to be in great shape and to prep well ahead of time. So when the chance to be a model for her popped up and I only had ten days to prepare, I was slightly hesitant because I had not been preparing. I only let those thoughts run through my mind for a few minutes and then decided I was just going to go for it, and I am so glad I did. Usually, I am on the other side of these shoots as part of the glam squad. I get to meet all these women at various stages in their lives and listen to how nervous, excited, what they hoped to feel from this experience, and every single time when they leave her studio they message me just blown away by how empowered and feminine and beautiful they felt. They are right, it's empowering and beautiful and a feeling you can't really describe until you experience it for yourself. I am a Mom of four and weeks away from my 39th birthday, and I didn't expect to feel how I did when I looked at the photos Kayla captured of me. She somehow managed to capture not only beautiful and sexy images but also powerful, feminine energy that I can't even describe. She made me not only look incredible but she made me feel incredible and it's a feeling I hope every woman gets to experience.
